About me
Hi, I'm Matthis. 18, from Lower Saxony, Germany.
I taught myself to code at twelve because I wanted developer rank on my favorite Minecraft servers, and it turned out you have to actually know how to code to get it. That pattern never left: want something, learn whatever it takes, ship it.
Currently working on: a performance intelligence system for podcasters – why viewers lose attention, down to the segment.
Open source: Mitos – idea file for AI agents and structured learning.
Current areas of interest: retrieval, agentic tooling, personal day-to-day systems, AI engineering.
Today that means AI engineering. Building with LLMs, and understanding enough of what's happening under the hood to not treat them as magic.
The other half
Building is only half of it – and with AI, the cheap half. Products rarely fail because the code is bad. They fail because nobody buys them. So I spent some time going deep on how things actually get sold: positioning, awareness stages, unit economics, creative strategy, brand mechanics.
What I trust about myself
I learn fast and turn it into shipped systems faster. I don't need instructions to start, and I don't need permission to finish. I'm honest about everything I don't know yet. That honesty is exactly why the learning is fast – and it's the only proof I have for myself that I actually learned instead of just recognizing it.
I won't claim to be an expert at anything specific. What I'll claim is a pattern: I get good at whatever the problem requires, fast.
Get in touch
For most of my life I played building as a single-player game – head down, systems shipped, nobody watching. It produced a lot you find on this site. It also produced zero people who build with me. That's what I'm trying to change now. This site is one part of that effort.
To be clear about where this goes: I'm going to build my own company. Not as a dream, as a plan. But nobody should found a company on theory alone, and the fastest way to learn how a company actually gets built is to join other founders.
So if you're building something and want someone who works like it's his own – that's exactly what I'm looking for. Skip the formalities: tell me what you're building and where I can help you make it even better.
Thinking about messaging me?
Skip the thinking. My inbox is open – I'd love hearing from you.
